It has been a while since we’ve had a substantive update on the Pleasantdale Elementary School, and as it stands right now, there still isn’t a whole lot to add. In summary, we can say that things are in a holding pattern on the part of the school district. Northcrest neighbors have been assured by our county commissioner that nothing will proceed without the input of Northcrest neighbors. As some of you may be aware, there have been times in the past when Northcrest has had a Neighborhood Watch program. Usually this is spurred by a small wave of break-ins in the neighborhood, and as we become aware of the criminal activity a group of us will assemble and formalize the Neighborhood Safety Committee.
