Neighborhood Cleanup Events

Northcrest Neighbors - Save the Dates

The Northcrest Civic Association (NCA) is sponsoring 4 different cleanup events in the neighborhood during the month of May as follows:

Saturday, May 1st at 9:00 AM – Pleasantdale Elementary School Ivy Cleanup Project

We will meet at the corner of Summitridge Drive and Northlake Drive to remove the ivy from the ground and on the tress at the edge of the school property.  Please plan to bring gloves, clippers, rakes, and lawn bags.  We will work until we have removed all of the ivy, hopefully finishing up by 11:00 AM.

Saturday, May 15th at 9:00 AM – Creek Cleanup Project

We will meet at the creek on Archwood Drive between Summitridge Drive and Beachhill Drive.  One group will start there and work along Summitridge towards Regalwoods Drive.  The other group will move to where the creek enters the neighborhood from Northcrest Road and work back to mee the first group in the middle.  Please plan to bring waders or boots, gloves, clippers, and plastic bags.  We will be picking up trash and removing invasive vines/plants along the creek and clearing any debris inhibiting the flow of the creek, hopefully finishing up around 11:00 AM.

Saturday, May 22nd at 9:00 AM – Northcrest Road Cleanup Project

We will meet at the entrance sign at Northcrest Road and Regalwoods Drive.  One group will start there and work both sides of the road up to I-85.  The other group will work up the hill towards Chamblee Tucker Road.  Please plan to bring gloves, clippers, rakes, shovels, plastic bags, trash cans, and lawn bags.  We will be pickup up trash, pulling weeds, and removing invasive vines along the roadway.  Again, we hope to finish up around 11:00 AM.

Saturday, May 29th at 9:00 AM – Northcrest Storm Drain Cleanup Project.

Details on this project are still being developed and will be sent out soon, but please save the date.

We hope that you will be able to participate in one or more of these cleanup events as we work to continue beautifying and making our neighborhood safe.  Moe information about each event will be posted as the dates approach.  Always feel free to contact the NCA by email at:  northcrestcivicassociation@gmail.com with comments, questions, suggestions, concerns, etc.
